Red Hat is looking for an intern to join the Software Applications Validation Engineering Team.
Primary Responsibilities:

- This is a 6 month internship contract. The individual is expected to work on development of tools relevant to the team.
- It is also expected that during this period the individual will identify and file bug reports about the software being worked upon.
- This position does not allow remote working and it is expected that the selected candidate will be available at the local office during work hours.
- A stated end result of this association would be that that this individual will be able to develop a relationship with the Free Software community during the course of their job.
- Students who can commit to the work hours or, fresh graduates who meet the criteria are welcome to apply.
Desired Skills :
- Exposure to Free and Open Source communities of work Prior participation in coding competitions
- Strong fundamentals of algorithms
- Interest in handling large data sets
- Strong fundamentals in statistics and quantitative analysis based upon statistical methods
- Has worked on Linux/knows how to develop/code on Linux systems
- Familiarity with Python and mathematical libraries/graphing libraries
- Familiarity with R is a plus
