Job Description:
- Work to gather and track product requirements
- Work closely with QA manager and project team to define strategy for testing various components
- Development of both manual and automated functional/integration/performance tests
- Development of Test Plans and other Quality related documentation
- Working independently and with developers to verify bug fixes
- Issue isolation and characterization
- Use of tools for test execution and defect management
- Coordination and some management of external test vendors
- Architect frameworks best suited for the project
Required Skills:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Great organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple concurrent tasks given prioritization
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced development environment
- Desire to gain domain expertise in Online Video Playback
- Masters degree or equivalent
- More than 5 years of software testing experience
- Previous issue isolation, troubleshooting, and debugging experience
- More than 2 years of software development experience
- Test automation / API test development experience
- Linux and scripting experience
- Programming skills (JavaScript, ActionScript, Java, C/C++, Objective-C, Ruby, Go)
- Understanding of QA methodologies and process
- Experience with video technologies ( formats, DRM, transcoding, streaming, etc.)
- Practical knowledge of Agile/Scrum
