Job Description:
- Should have actively programmed in C/C++ under Unix/Linux environment and is expected to be practically conversant with the most commonly used libraries. The candidate will have to be hands-on and will be required to solve complex programming requirements. Also the candidate should have good understanding of software development life cycle
- Should have very sound knowledge on power system concepts
- Should have very good knowledge on Automatic Generation and control concepts, Power Network Analysis modules (Fault level analysis, Contingency Analysis, State Estimation etc.)
- Strictly follow all quality and documentation processes
- Working knowledge of Relational Databases (Oracle, Sybase etc.)
- Working knowledge on Installing and configuring software on Linux systems
- Working Knowledge on any scripting language in Linux/Unix environment
Better to have below skills:
- Experience with agile development
- Exposure to Configuration Management tools such as ClearCase
- 6-Sigma GB certified or awareness of 6-Sigma methodology (Internal to GE)
- Exposure to Java and Internet Technologies
- Experience working in multiple development environments, and with a variety of operating systems
