Job Description
Intel's Microprocessor Architecture group located in Bangalore, India is seeking fresh architects. We are in the research and development phase for the 2015-2016 generation of CPU/GPU products on Intel's roadmap. We engage heavily in every stage of the CPU/GPU development effort - early architecture analysis, microarchitecture research/development, performance/power modeling and analysis, detailed power/performance correlation vs. RTL and post-silicon tuning. You will be a key part of a highly select team that defines and architects the most advanced computing systems for Intel worldwide across its most critical market segments
Some of the areas we are focusing on include multilevel large-cache architectures, advanced interconnects for large number of cores and emerging multi-level memory architectures/technologies. Optimizing the cache/memory hierarchy and interconnect for power-efficient performance across concurrent accesses from traditional x86 applications, graphics and multimedia streams are key challenges being addressed.
Desired Profile
You should possess an MS or a Ph.D. in Computer/Electrical Engineering with 0-10 years experience in advanced microprocessor architecture/development.
Strong skills and experience in VLSI development as well as software skills in C++ and programming would be necessary.
